About HWJD
So there I sat, in my car at an intersection after having just left a church service where the Pastor had been speaking about being a hostage to rage. He spoke of how road rage even got the best of him on occasion, and told a story about getting irritated at other drivers while trying to deliver ice to a church function on a hot day.
As I sat at the intersection, getting a little antsy because the flow of traffic just wouldn't allow me to pull out, I recalled the sermon and relaxed a bit. The traffic cleared in less than a minute and I pulled out wondering what the big deal had been, what was the point of getting antsy when relaxed actually made things more bearable. It made me think, I need a little reminder in my car for times like that, maybe a WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) sticker for my visor.
No, not WWJD, it's been done, 'how would Jesus drive?', which made me laugh. And that's when HWJD came to me. I thought if I had it printed on a button I could pin it to my visor to remind me. The thought occurred to me that maybe other people could benefit from this, so maybe I could put a website together, but I didn't want it to be all preachy and religious.
The result is the site you see in front of you. It's meant to be informational and inspirational, a light-hearted look at a serious issue, not too preachy for the less religious readers and not too blasphemous for the more devout. howwouldjesusdrive.org is not affiliated with any church and I'm not asking for any donations, just that you read a bit so that the next time you get in a car and get a little frustrated, maybe something you have seen here may creep back into your head and help make it a little less tense.
If you like what you see here, tell others, if you don't tell me and remember, you don't have to be a Christian to drive like Jesus.
Stay safe and thanks for stopping by.
